Samadashvili Ana

Ana Kordzaia-Samadashvili (born 1968 in Tbilisi) is Georgian writer working as a translator and cultural journalist. She also teaches literature and creative writing at Ilia State University in Tbilisi. Ana Kordzaia-Samadashvili has won various Georgian literary prizes for her novels and short stories. In 2013 she was awarded the SABA Literature Prize in the category Best Debut. For the translation of Die Liebhaberinnen (Women as Lovers) by Elfride Jelinek into Georgian, she was awarded a prize for best translation by the Goethe Institut Tbilisi.
