Dato (David) Turashvili (born 1966 in Tbilisi) is a lecturer in modern literature in Tbilisi. He has written several collections of prose as well as scripts. He was a leader of the student protests in 1988/1989, participated in the Rose Revolution, and is an advocate for prisoners’ rights.
