Modern Georgian literature illustrates the literary reappraisal of Georgia’s historical development over the last 30 years. Two authors – Dato Turashvili and Beso Chwedelidze – thematise the transformation of Georgian society from a Soviet to a post-Soviet nation and portray it as a kind of historical balancing act.
