A meeting and discussion with Mrs. Naira Gelashvili takes place at the most popular European literary festival Lit.Cologne. The author introduces the German-language translation of her novel 'I’m Leaving for Madrid' to German readers. The book is about the colorful and beautiful Madrid, which tells very humorous and in the form of a light linguistic fabric of passionate Carmencitas and fiery Toreros, of melodious serenades and the sunlit streets. The book portrays the life of the main hero who wanders about in these sunlit streets whose life is anything but easy. It is the story about the alienation of man and society, about his inner tragedy, about the incompatibility of his dreams with reality, it is a book about the emergence of desire for the journey somewhere and for the disappearance, about the desire to gain inner freedom.

The book was translated into German by Lia Wittek; it will be published by Verbrecher Verlag in 2018 with the support of the Georgian National Book Center (GNBC).
